5.
Life Skills Challenge List (Community-Based Learning)
Each week, children also receive a fun list of real-world missions, such as:
– Speak to a police officer
– Use a self-service till
– Pay for something independently
– Give someone a genuine compliment
-Read a bus timetable
– Ask a librarian for help
These build confidence, independence, social awareness and real-world competence — things home-ed families deeply value.
4.
Personalised “Learning Isn’t All School” Challenges
On joining, families complete a short onboarding quiz that tells us what the child enjoys outside of academic learning.
From that, we create personalised weekly challenges such as:
– “Learn a new football skill”
– “Practise your scooter trick 10 times”
– “Bake something using a recipe you’ve never tried”
– “Draw your favourite animal in your own style”
– “Build a LEGO model based on this week’s topic”
– “Record yourself playing a new tune on your instrument”
– This shows children that learning happens everywhere — not just in lessons — and gives parents easy, confidence-building activities tailored to their child’s passions.
3.
Weekly Project Pack (Self-Led Learning)
A downloadable pack with 4 self-led lessons each week covering the broader curriculum:
– History
– Geography
– Art
– Design & Technology
– PSHE
– Topic-based projects
Simple enough for children to follow independently, rich enough to feel meaningful.
2.

Questions?
We’ve answered some of our most frequently asked questions below – but please get in touch if you have any we haven’t answered!
What happens during the induction?
The inductions will take place the week of Monday 5th January 2026 at a time slot to suit you and your young person. This is our chance to get to know you and your child whilst answering your questions. The video meeting will take no more than 30 minutes but will help us find out what your child is interested in, explain how the ecosystem works and find out a little about where your child is on their learning journey.
What is the daily social session?
It’s a relaxed, friendly space for children to chat, share interests, play simple games and build confidence.
It helps with communication skills, friendships and emotional development — things many home-ed parents worry about. Your teacher will lead the session with a game to get conversations started.
What are interest-based challenges?
During your induction, we ask about your child’s interests (football, music, animals, coding, scooters… anything!).
Each week they get personalised challenges based on what they love, helping them learn life skills through fun, real-world tasks.
Do parents need to teach anything?
Nope! All core lessons and projects are delivered by our teaching team. Parents can join in if they want to — but there’s no prep and no pressure.
How much does it cost?
It’s £65 for the full month, including:
-
Daily live lessons
-
Daily social sessions
-
Weekly project packs
-
Interest-based challenges
-
Family support
-
Full access to all recordings
No contracts. No tie-ins. Just pay month-to-month.
Can we try it for a month and leave?
Absolutely. There are no contracts — you can stop anytime.
Do we have to attend all the live lessons?
Not at all. Attend as many as you like. Every lesson is recorded and uploaded so you can watch back anytime — perfect for families who need flexibility.
Are lessons aligned with the national curriculum?
They’re inspired by curriculum expectations for literacy, numeracy and science — but delivered in a way that works better for home-educated children: short, interactive, practical and curiosity-driven.
How do the project packs work?
Every Cohort we release a themed “pick-and-mix” project pack with activities for art, science, problem-solving, research, and creative thinking. Children choose the tasks they want to do — it builds independence and makes learning feel exciting. You can do as many or as few as you want, but there’s a prize for any child who completes them all – and they’ll want to complete them all as they’re so much fun!
What if my child is shy?
Totally fine. Children can keep their camera off, type in the chat, or just watch until they feel comfortable.
Most settle in after a few sessions.
Can we join from anywhere?
Yes — families across the UK (and beyond!) join us. All you need is an internet connection.
What is your money back guarantee?
Our 14 day money back guarantee means that if you try the Academy and don’t get on with it we will refund you your full purchase price up to 14 days after the course has started.
All we ask is that you have attended at least 50% of the live lessons.
Ready to Make Home Education Easier, Calmer and More Enjoyable?
